Medicine ball crunch
This exercise can be performed with a twist at the top.
Turning slightly will stress the oblique muscles of the waist.

What's needed for medicine ball crunch :
- An exercise mat
- A weight or medicine ball

| how to do it |
Adopt a position on your back lying on the exercise mat and place your feet near your bottom
Hold a small weight or medicine ball. Extend your arms into the air and hold the 'weight' away from the body
From this start position curl your chest towards your knees using the strength of your stomach muscles only
Exhale. Hold for a count of two before slowly lower yourself on the count of four to the start position. Pause briefly and repeat |
